me and the universe have become great friends. she finds little ways to make my day and give me faith in the coincidences of signs and life. this morning as i was listening to a higher power (of course) i look down to my feet and see these two headlines.

note to self: sweden is in the cards. 

i'm on my way to the usa (for reals)

it's happening! i'm going to see jens lekman! although originally i was seriously considering flying to LA, he added a show to nyc! i found out by an email he sent out, and my rabbits foot was in full force as the tickets went on sale an hour later and sold out in 7 minutes. i honestly can not wait. whoa mama.
not only is this a chance for me to visit my long-time friend Elliott who lives in nyc, but I get to see Jens in a small intimate show at 450 union, a small warehouse space with chandeliers! ah.

Jens. My love. 

I check his website everyday. I write him emails about him coming to Toronto. He writes back. He doesn't have any plans to come anytime soon. He is very sweet in his responses. I would cut off my right arm to see him. And now! He has a North American show...in L.A. Far away, yes. But closer than Australia (where he lives now). At the Mondrian Skybar, it looks so beautiful. And...it's free! To fly that far for one night with Jens?
